After completing all coursework for the Ph.D. in the Social and Information Studies Course at the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies, the University of Tokyo, in 2017, she withdrew from the program. She then served as an Assistant Professor at the Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies and has been a Project Assistant Professor since August 2020. Her research focuses on information law and media law. More recently, she has also been engaged in research on information ethics, incorporating Eastern and Japanese perspectives.
